Couples Therapy

Together, We Rebuild What Matters Most

You haven’t spoken to each other for weeks, and the silence feels heavy, almost unbearable. When you try to talk, it ends in shouting, tears or withdrawal. You wonder if love - or hope - still exists between you. And yet, separation doesn’t feel like the answer. Imagine a space where you can truly hear each other, give each other room and slowly reconnect - where intimacy, closeness and understanding can start to return, perhaps for the first time in a long while.

I'm here for you both - not to offer a quick fix or act as a referee but to guide you through the deeper work. True relational growth requires looking beneath the surface and taking individual accountability. Together, we will move past temporary patches and unpack how your personal histories, attachment styles and internal triggers show up in the room.

No blame. No sides. Just lasting progress, built on real understanding.

Common Questions Couples Ask

We've tried therapy before – why would this be different?

Many couples try therapy hoping for a quick fix to settle arguments, only to find the same patterns return once the crisis passes. My approach is different because we don't just patch up this week's fight - we go beneath the surface. I work with both partners to look at the vulnerable emotions and unhealed personal patterns driving your reactions.

What can we expect in our sessions?

This isn't a space for quick fixes. You will each be gently supported to share your experiences while I hold a steady, compassionate space. Together, we will unpack how your individual histories show up in the room, explore your communication styles and practice new, grounded ways of truly reaching and holding onto each other.

What if only one of us wants to come?

It is completely normal for one partner to feel hesitant or unsure at the start. Often, profound shifts can begin even when just one person is ready to step forward and look at their own internal patterns, triggers and contribution to the dynamic.

You are welcome to book an initial session to explore if this deeper work is right for you with zero pressure or obligation to continue. Most people leave that first session with a much clearer sense of direction and renewed hope.

Will you tell us who's 'right'?

Never. My role isn't to act as a referee or hand out quick-fix solutions. Both of your stories matter, and we have to look beneath the surface to understand them. I am here to help you truly hear each other but I am also here to be honest. I will gently call out the unhelpful individual habits, defensive patterns and behaviours that are keeping you both stuck, guiding you toward real, lasting accountability and connection.

How long until we see change?

It depends entirely on your history, the depth of the patterns and your joint commitment to the work. Because we aren't looking for a quick fix or a temporary plaster, some couples find clarity in a focused block of sessions, while others choose to journey deeper over several months. Whatever pace you choose, the goal is lasting transformation, with monthly follow-up sessions always available to help you sustain your progress.

What if we're thinking about separation?

Many couples rebuild trust and connection – but some choose to go separate ways. Therapy clarifies all paths. Whichever path you decide, I will support you through your decision with compassion and clarity.

Are there any limitations in couples therapy?

Yes, if there is an ongoing affair, any form of abuse or severe addiction present, we may need to gently pause couples work. In these tender situations, individual support or referral to specialised resources often provide the strongest foundation first - always with your safety and healing at heart. I'm here to guide towards the right next steps without judgement.

We finally saw we were both hurting. Now we reach for each other.
